The small one is described as 3 cups and the large press is described as 8 cups. That's NOT American sized coffee cups, it's the European itty bitty 4 oz coffee cups. So in American coffee cup standards, you will get one healthy size coffee cup from the small French press, and 3 good sized coffee cups (standard size mugs) from the large French coffee press.
The dimensions on the small French press is 5" tall x 3" in diameter for the glass carafe, while it is 7" tall including the plunger when closed and all the way down.
The large French press measures 7" tall x 4" in diameter for the glass carafe, while it is 9" tall including the plunger when closed and all the way down.
